Chevrolet EN-V 2.0

General Motors unveiled at Auto China Motor Show 2012 Chevrolet conceptual vision of the EN-V 2.0. This is another version of an innovative electric vehicle, which debuted at the Expo 2010 in Shanghai.

The original EN-V was presented in SAIC-GM Pavilion at World Expo 2010 in Shanghai and became famous as one of the most interesting concepts in the history of GM. This two-seat electric vehicle that redefined the concept of the car due to the convergence of electrification and connectivity. The concept was designed to solve the problems of traffic congestion, parking availability, air quality and affordability in cities.

In the model EN-V 2.0 uses extra features desired by customers, such as air conditioning and practical storage space. Car also gained the possibility of movement in all weather and road conditions in the city.

Wireless communication system used in the concept allows the creation of a "social network" for drivers and passengers that can be used while driving to communicate with friends or business partners. Currently, GM plans to start a pilot study in China of prototype models of the EN-V 2.0.

Alfa Romeo 4C

Next year is expected to start series production of the latest model of Alfa Romeo, a small sports coupe called the 4C.

Production will take place at the Maserati factory in Modena. The plans assume that the year will occur no more than 2500 copies of the Alfa Romeo 4C.

Alfa Romeo 4C is a small, two-seater coupe with a central gasoline engine. The drive unit has a capacity of 1.8 liters, direct injection and turbocharging is supported so that its output exceeds 200 hp.

It is to be also the first model of Alfa Romeo, which is after the break hit the U.S. market.

Denza EV Concept

The first electric car concept Denza brand owned by Daimler and BYD, was unveiled at the Auto China 2012 exhibition in Beijing

Shenzhen BYD Daimler New Technology Co. Ltd. (BDNT) intends to start serial production and sale of electric cars in 2013 Denz. The first prototypes of cars Denz are already being tested in traffic in China.

2012 MINI Roadster by Franca Sozzani

Each year, the German automaker brings a specially designed MINI vehicle that has been designed by a plethora of the fashion world’s pre-eminent designers, including D’Squared, Diane von Furstenberg, Kenneth Cole, Francisco Costa of the Calvin Klein collection, and the Blondes.

This year, the mantle has been passed to Franca Sozzani, the chief editor of Italian Vogue and UN Goodwill Ambassador for Fashion 4 Development. Sozzani was tasked to design a MINI Roadster and she went about with the design and development of the one-off Roadster, saying that the inspiration comes from a "beautiful woman who put a scarf on her head when she drives a Roadster."

For now, we only have a rendering of the Franca Sozzani-designed Roadster, but you can expect details about the car to be revealed before it is auctioned off on May 19 at the AIDS Solidarity Gala at Vienna’s own Hofsburg Palace.
